For over 40 years since their intoroduction in 1966, occupational therapists have strived to help people lead their desired lifestyles from the broad perspectives of medicine, health, and welfare while keeping pace with the changing times in Japan. Although the contents of occupational therapy may be increasingly diversifying due to changes in social systems, demography, and other factors, our activities will continue to focus on supporting the lifestyles of people with disability and the elderly.
