Requirements
Regular and supporting members of the Japanese Association of Occupational Therapists (JAOT) are qualified to make applications for presentation. However, any member who has not paid the 2007 JAOT membership fee by the application deadline will not qualify. Please make the payment, if necessary, prior to your application.
Any person other than the above (who is not an occupational therapist) is eligible to make an application with approval from the president of the JOTC42. Any member of any association that belongs to the WFOT is treated the same as a member of the JAOT. Any person who has a license of occupational therapist in Japan but is not enrolled in the JAOT (non-member) is ineligible to make an application, as well as to become a co-presenter.

Deadline: The Noon of November 30th,2007 (GMT+8:00)
Please make sure you submit the abstract by the deadline. As the deadline for submitting your abstract draws near, access lines become congested, delays may occur, and you may be unable to complete the registration process. We recommend allowing plenty of time to register by applying early.
The program committee welcomes the submission of abstracts of oral , poster and workshop.
Style of PresentationPoster:
Discussion at a designated poster presentation room.
Oral Presentations:
All oral presentations and theme sessions should be conducted using Windows XP (Microsoft PowerPoint2000, 2003).Other devices or applications, including movies, will not be accepted.
Please check in your presentation data saved in USB memory.(Please bring your presentation data in CD-R in case of troubles)
The time allotted to presentations is 7 minutes for oral presentations (incl. 3 minutes for discussion), and 10 minutes for theme sessions (incl. 5 minutes for discussion).
Please note that the presentation style maybe changed from your preference due to the capacity of the session rooms.
Detailed instructions for speakers will be announced in the Program Book published at a later date.
Workshop:
Individual, group, and SIG etc. of the member of the Japanese occupational therapist society can apply. The time frames are 90 minutes and 60 minutes. Even if it is not a workshop form, it corks it caring. We lends only the hall and the PC projector. The workshop speaker must go in the copy and the site management of material. We do not do at all.
It applies on the homepage. President will judge the adoption or rejection at a lot of applications.
Use Rights of the Papers Subject to Presentation
The secondary use rights and the license rights of the papers subject to presentation belong to the JAOT.
Ethical Issues regarding the Presentation ContentsMaximum Ethical Consideration
Please give ethical consideration carefully in your research planning, implementation, analysis, presentation preparations, and other processes.
Please give top priority to the dignity and human rights of the persons who are studied or tested when using human research. You are expected to observe the Declaration of Helsinki, the "Ethical Guideline regarding Clinical Studies" issued by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and the research ethics regulations of your university, hospital, or institution.
Final decisions for adoption will be made through consultation between the president and the program committee of the JOTC42 in accordance with the following criteria. The adopted presentations cannot be cancelled.
Ethical consideration is given to the presentation contents
Logical organization and expressions are proper
The theme and contents are creative and original, and they are regarded as contributing to the development of occupational therapy.
Approaches, apparatuses, and other elements are specifically stated.
The contents have not been released under the same or similar title in any other academic meeting or journal.
The "Procedure of Making Presentation Applications" of this congress is followed.
A "Notification of Acceptance" will be sent to the presenting author by e-mail by the beginning of February 2008, together with instructions for speakers.
Please note that the presentation style maybe changed from your preference, which will be advised in the Notification of Acceptance.
